Y Strainer

An official definition embraced by the Fluid Controls Institute is: "A shut vessel with cleanable screen component intended to evacuate and hold outside particles down to 0.001-inch measurement from different streaming liquids." Note the expression "remote particles". Y Strainers don't really evacuate just soil. They take out material which isn't needed in the liquid and this can at some point be an important item which might be spared.
